The Program was Initially established by the Goulburn Valley Regional Training Hub (University of Melbourne) in 2017, tailoring the Mentorloop online mentoring platform initially to connect regional medical mentors with University of Melbourne Rural Clinical School Students. In 2019, the Goulburn Valley Regional Training Hub saw substantial value in widening the Program, inviting Victoria’s other Regional Training Hubs, Primary Health Networks (PHN) serving regional Victoria, Rural Workforce Agency Victoria (RWAV) and Victoria’s Regional General Practitioner Training Organisations to come together to collectively drive and manage this Victoria-wide regional medical mentoring program.
